Our Background

Raised in central Pennsylvania, we're presently renovating our 200 year old home. Mark is a contractor who has worked professionally in the building industry for over 25 years.

Our Story

While hard at work on our own restoration project, we began looking at other properties in the area to get ideas. We noticed that many well-kept homes in our region had meticulous lawns, impeccable landscaping, beautiful interiors and "dirty" roofs. We learned later that the staining we saw was actually algae growing on those roofs, and like many people, we incorrectly thought nothing could be done about it. Sometimes it's great to find out you're wrong!

 

Our Discovery

Loutron is a Greek word that means, "a bath" or "to wash" as in baptism. We loved the association, since we "bathe" roofs and remove stains, but more importantly because our intent is to serve our community in some meaningful way that will make a lasting, positive difference in people's lives.
